Artists In the Parks
“Artists in the Parks” is an art show/demonstration being held in 9 parks over the course of 9 weeks beginning in July of 2019. This event is designed to garner more attention and raise awareness of the visual arts.
There is no charge to join this event, however, an email sign-up is required. These weekly events are designed to be a learning experience as well as an artist meet-and-greet. Bring your art and work with other artists en-masse.
Artists in the Parks is an outside event, simply bring a piece you are currently working on, a few display pieces on easels, and a work table & supplies. Photographers may come and shoot photos, or bring your laptop to edit current photos. All styles of visual fine-artists are welcome!
We have the pavilion rented where available, so there is usually electricity. Bring some food and beverage and create!
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these public art gatherings free of charge. ANNEW will hand-deliver invitations to the neighborhoods surrounding each park on the Sunday before the event. These invites contain the 9-week schedule so that folks know where we’ll be the following week. ANNEW will also advertise on social media and via email. Our goal is for you to be as visible as possible to as many people as possible.
Artists in the Parks is a weather-dependent event, and as such will be held on a Wednesday or Thursday depending on the weather.
